On the Move
The Clayton Center, at 111 E Second St. has become our new home. We have been there long enough to begin to feel familiar with our setting and we look forward to having you join us. We meet on the second floor, in the Rotary Room at the end of the hallway.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME
What should I wear?
Our dress code is
simple, you must come dressed. However, since the atmosphere is that of a café
setting the dress code is relaxed, comfortable and seasonally dictated.
What about my children?
We are excited
about the family and encourage the family to be together as much as possible.
We are convinced that children pick up much more than we expect and that they
will learn so much more by watching us as we encounter God, and we encourage
that interaction. However, for younger children (1-5) we will have the “Cafe' Kids”
class that will meet after the music.
All children’s
workers will go through a criminal background check before they are cleared to
work with our children.
Speaking of music, what is your
music like?
Music is a gift and a great privilege and we
want to take every opportunity to enjoy and use it to the fullest. Our music is
designed to be encouraging and challenging all at the same time. We are
convinced that God is encountered through music and that music can be a time of
growth and interaction with God. Stylistically, it will be classified as
contemporary.
Also, in keeping
with our desire to incorporate the family as much as possible we encourage the
children to be active participants in this part of our time together.
What is it like?
This is an area
in which we are a little different from other churches in the area. We chose
the name “Café” for several reasons and one is that it conveys the atmosphere
we want to see created. We gather together in a café setting, enjoying a drink
and engaging in conversation with one another and with God. Although we gather
to learn, it is not a classroom; though we listen while together, it is not a
lecture. Interaction, far from being discouraged is encouraged as long as it is
honest, encouraging and appropriate. We are firmly convinced of the validity of
God’s Word and view our world through that lens. Our conviction is that it is
applicable to our lives today in a real and powerful way and that when we
interact with it we are changed through it and its author.
